Neuffen is particularly renowned in the world of classic car racing for the "Bergpreis Schwäbische Alb." The races quickly became a cornerstone of the South German motorsport calendar. On the legendary Neuffen Steige, motorsport icons once competed for glory. Names such as Prince Leopold of Bavaria, Kurt Brixner, Helmut Henzler, and Hans-Joachim Stuck represent the golden era of ADAC hill climbs. Helmut Henzler in particular made his mark on international motorsport, competing alongside Hans-Joachim Stuck in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1981. Thousands of spectators flocked to the circuit to witness these brave drivers and their powerful machines navigate the demanding curves of the Neuffen Steige. Today, historic racing cars and classic automobiles compete on the legendary course of the former hill climb races. This event honors the ADAC hill climbs that took place there from 1964 to 1983. The Neuffen Steige was notorious for its tight corners, steep grades, and high-speed sections.
